Biography:
We started playing back in high school with four original members: Miguel Chavez (vocals), Mong Alcaraz (guitars), Carlos Calderon (bass) and Jose Salvador (drums). We were originally a Deftones-cover band, playing songs from their albums Adrenaline and Around the Fur.

We decided to focus on creating more originals after a while (around 1999). We did a lot of experimentation and needed more members to complete the sound that we wanted. We asked Sonny Baquisal (guitars) and Euguene Esquivias (percussions) to join the band. Chi Evora introduced us to Sonny and told us that he was looking to play guitars. Yug is Calde's neighbor and hung out with us often, usually during gigs.

We've already made two albums before coming up with Icarus. and yeah we're from the Philippines.

They are nominated for the first time ever ASEAN IKON… It’s a music challenge TV show that’s going battle solo performers as well as groups against their peers.

…Chicosci will be battling out with Chilitees, Greyhoundz, Kala, Kapatid, Kjwan, Spongecola, Stonefree, The Dawn, and True Faith for the BAND AWARD…

For the solo… in case you’re interested.. .nominees are Noel Cabangon, Chris Cayzer, Julianne, Sitti Navarro, Grace Nono, Skarlet, Top Suzara and Vina Morales..

The winners represent the Philippines in Malaysia for the battle with other ikon winners from our asian neighbors…
